2‑7/8" API 5CT Oil Tubing (Non‑Upset NU & External Upset EUE)
2‑7/8" (73.02 mm) is one of the most widely‑used tubing sizes under API 5CT specification for on‑shore oil and gas wells. This tubing is available in two main end configurations: Non‑Upset (NU, plain end tubing without pipe‑end reinforcement) and External Upset (EUE / EU, pipe‑end thickened for higher tensile connection performance).
The nominal unit weight is marked in lb/ft (pounds per foot). Even with identical pipe‑body wall thickness, NU (non‑upset) and EUE (external upset) carry different nominal weight codes because of the added metal material at the upset end for EUE tubing.
We supply complete series of 2‑7/8” API‑5CT tubing: both NU non‑upset and EUE external upset types. Full steel grades J55,K55,N80,L80,P110 etc., R1/R2/R3 length options, complete coupling accessories for matching. Each batch will carry material test report (MTR) in compliance with API‑5CT. Custom non‑standard upset dimensions can be discussed according to customer technical drawings.
